The Zoe Pound Gang was an infamous gang that operated in Miami and was active during the 1990s. It is primarily composed of Haitian immigrants.

Zoe in the Haitian language points to bones. The entire gang name suggests “hard to the bone.” They were very much active up to the 2010s. They were involved in racketeering and drug trades.

You might be asking how this relates to “Z” in rap?

Z is actually what you call a member of the Zoe Pound Gang. It has been used by Kodak Black and other Florida-based rappers.

Examples:

“Never become a Z. Your life will go down the drain.”

“He might look like a Z but he is actually very nice.”
